Day centre 

Here at The Links Resource Centre in Eccles the day centre is mainly set in the room which was formally the old Victorian swimming pool. We take great pride in what we do here offering a full and varied timetable which ensures that everyone can get involved regardless of there abilities. It is our commitment to ensure that we offer multiple activities running at the same time giving the clients independence and personal choice to do what they feel like or what they feel will benefit them. You may wish to partake in baking, gardening, dance, yoga or just have a cup of tea and a chat. Whatever your preference all options are available. Some come to learn new life skills whilst others come to make new friends and socialise. It is a great way to get to know people and experience new things.

We run monthly forums ensuring that our clients all get the opportunity to air their views and options on the current activities, giving input on what they wish to do in the future. With the information from these forums we plan days out and activities that appeal to all. We listen to all the feedback and incorporate it where we can after all it is about you not us.  

Every couple of months we run a theme such as France, Spain, India etc. in the day centre. The activities increase the client’s knowledge of each country’s, customs, religion and diversity of a wider community. 

At the Links we have a licence to serve alcohol and have an evening social disco every Wednesday night where every one can have a night out in the safety of The Links with staff present at all times. The social is open to everyone so it enables you to form relationships with people from other communities and day centres and everyone is welcome.
